The Place
The Amalfi Coast is one of the most photographed coastlines in Europe — and one of the most exposed. To find true privacy here is no longer a matter of price; it is a matter of access. Villa Tramonto Privato occupies a clifftop parcel of nearly two hectares that has been in private hands for four generations. The property is reached by a single discreet road from the upper village of Positano, and again, more theatrically, by sea — a private mooring is cut into the cliff face below, served by a tender housed in a vaulted boathouse. From the highest terrace, the view extends from Capri in the west to the Faraglioni in the south. The closest neighbour is more than four hundred metres away, separated by lemon groves and a fold of the cliff. The sea below is silent.
